Akinlabi has a B.Sc. (Hons.) Electrical Engineering and a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) both from the University of Lagos, Nigeria. He also attended the Lagos Business School LBS, IESE Business School University of Navarra, Barcelona, Spain, London School of Economics, the United Kingdom for various courses.
An astute entrepreneur with over 26 years experience in the private sector, he has been involved in various sectors of the economy including Engineering, Construction, Printing, Information Technology and Telecoms. He is a member of various professional bodies including Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE).
